Because all unexpected deaths require Coroner or Medical Examiner review, their cooperation and support is vital for ensuring successful organ and tissue donations, benefiting thousands of transplant recipients each year.
DonorConnect is dedicated to working closely with Medical Examiners and Coroners throughout our donation service area to maintain our commitment to the recovery of all transplantable organs and tissues while ensuring they are able to meet their medical and legal responsibilities. DonerConnect seeks OME and Coroner permission for donation for all cases that fall under their jurisdiction prior to the recovery of any organs or tissues.
